Prioritising the best interests of the child.
-
Protecting children from further abuse, exploitation and retaliation.
-
Maintaining confidentiality and responsible handling of sensitive information.
-
Using child-sensitive approaches during investigations and interviews.
-
Ensuring appropriate referral for medical and psychosocial support.

Promoting safe and ethical engagement with survivors.
-
Preventing exploitation and abuse by staff, volunteers, partners and other representatives.

Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and allegations.
We will never use a child’s suffering as a fundraising tool.
When we share survivor stories, photographs or other information, we are committed to protecting children’s dignity, privacy and safety and obtaining appropriate consent in accordance with applicable safeguarding requirements.
